It demonstrates the descending of the god Kukulkan (Maya for the Feathered serpent) to earth in an light and shadow effect against the pyramid, suggestive of a snake undulating down a stair case).

The ball Court "Pok Ta PoK" has a cosmic meaning, with its warlike symbols and almost perfect acoustics, it´s one of the oldest constructions in the zone.
