GUIDE/DRIVER
SERVICE
All
excursions with guaranteed departures include the service of a GUIDE/DRIVER
if the party totals fewer than 8 people.
GUIDE/DRIVER
Means the Driver of the vehicle is also the Guide and will provide
the required archaeological and cultural information during the
tour.
CULTURAL
AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL GUIDE SERVICE
Whenever
there are parties larger than 8 participants, the Driver is supported
by a Group Guide who will assist in all explanations relating to
cultural and archaeological matters.
MEALS
INCLUDED
Included
measl are detailed in each itinerary and they vary. Every single
tour includes Breakfast at the hotel and this can either be American
and/or Buffet. Lunch and dinner can either be 3-course or buffet.
All Menus have been carefully selected to highlight local gastronomy
and delicacies. In some itineraries, which are far from urban areas,
the only alternative is the hotel selected for lodging. On occasions,
then, it is impossible to cater to special diet requirements. Please
advise well in advance of any needs to see the suitability of the
tour selected.
ALL BEVERAGES ARE EXCLUDED and must be paid for separately by every
individual tour member. TIPS are included but additional tipping,
if service standards are deemed very good, is at every member's
discretion and must be dealt with directly with the concerned person.
IS
LODGING INCLUDED ?
MWE
includes a carefully selected array of hotels for lodging as described
in every itinerary.
They are chosen considering the distance to the places to be visited
and comfort afforded.
All hotels are rated 3 and 4 stars and some even have a special
category assigned to them depending on physical location.
All TIPS to Bellboys and chambermaids are included but additional
tipping is optional and at the personal discretion of every tour
member.
I
AM NOT USED TO LONG OPEN AIR WALKS. CAN I PARTICIPATE ?
Every
Excursion has been designed for the enjoyment of participants; however,
they involve open air walks in different types of terrain and weather
conditions, mostly typical of the Tropics. Sometimes, these walks
can be considered prolonged with several overnight stays at hotels
where there is the need to pack and unpack. It is imperative the
participant has no physical or mental limitations and that travel
gear is as light as possible.
For
those participants travelling with a lot of equipment and who wish
to arrive before or alter the Tour, there are storage facilities
a tour base hotel in Cancún.
WHAT
TYPE OF CLOTHING TO PACK ?
Most
Tours include open air activities so cotton clothing and comfortable
shoes are a must. For evening activities, casual dressing is ok.
A sweat short might be helpful for the occasional cool evening.
ADDITIONAL
POINTS
In
México most lodging facilities and restaurants are smoke-free.
If you have a particular request in this sense please make it well
in advance and we shall attempt our best to accommodate you.
Since
most expeditions are done in the open air and in the middle of the
jungle, we strongly suggest the use of biodegradable sun blocking
and insect repellent lotions. These products may be purchased on
arrival through your MWE representative.
Though
the photographs in our brochures are as accurate as possible, there
may be slight differences. We are grateful for your understanding.
ARE
THERE ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED ?
No
other service, bar those specifically mentioned in the itineraries,
are included. Thus, items such as laundry services, telephone calls,
internet, Mini Bar, beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
and any other personal service is NOT INCLUDED in the price of the
tour.
HOW
DO I GET TO THE DEPARTURE POINT ?
As
a participant in any of our expeditions, arrival transfer from Cancún
airport to our Departure Hotel is complimentary.
Equally, if you arrive to any of our catalogue hotels, transfer
to the Departure Hotel for the excursion booked will be provided
free of charge.
ARE
TAXES INCLUDED ?
All
Federal taxes are included in the final price charged for the services
rendered.
If there were any increment in any of the taxes, these would be
automatically reflected in the final price.
